I broke down and bought the "Dark Knight" today. All I have today is whoa.
That movie was amazing and intriquing and captavating and just...beyond words. Heath Ledger - What can I say? He was Oscar worthy. He took that part, made it his own and you couldn't tell where Heath ended and the Joker began. Even his eyes when he was talking - you could see it. Creepy, eerie and one of the best performances I have seen in a while. Aaron Eckhart - Have to give him props - he did a really great job as Harvey Dent. It is sad that he has kind of gotten overlooked because he did was great as well. Christian Bale - Love him. 6th December 2008
: Wow....
CMT is doing a tribute to Alan Jackson with some of today's big name performers singing some of this hits. Of course the one big song from Alan Jackson has been and always will be "Where Were You" - his song about 9/11. "Where were you when the world stopped turning on that September day?" CMT picked the absolutely perfect person to do that song - George Strait himself. Kill me now cause that performance about did as much as the first time that I heard Alan Jackson sing it live. Simply Alan, and now George, sitting on the stage with these amazing, wonderful words in a song. That song always touches me but when I was watching George you could see the tears in his eyes and as the panned through the audience, and Alan Jackson, the same thing. EDIT: Wow...George was talking about Alan Jackson and the good guy he is and brought up the story about when the CMA awards tried to cut George Jones (country legend himself) song performance in half and that pissed George Jones off so he boycotted the awards entirely. What does Alan Jackson do - starts off with his own song and then launches into George Jones song. That's what I'm talking about. Of course George Jones came out at the point which was awesome. I love watching these things - they just make me feel good. Nicely done Alan Jackson, CMT and King George. 30th November 200829th November 200827th November 200821st November 2008
: People are stupid
One of our oldest and richest clients has the scumbag leech who works for him and claims to be a huge Longhorn fan BUT it seems that he is rooting for OU this weekend in the Tech/OU game. He said that he doesn't want any Okie getting into the championship game or national title game. Dumbass! You call yourself a Longhorn fan?? If you truly were you would be rooting for OU because if OU beats Tech our conference will be thrown into a frenzy and all hell is going to break loose. All three teams - Texas, OU and Tech - will hae a strong and valid argument to play in our conference championship and the national title game. It goes against every grain in my body to root for OU but if it means UT gets into the title game I'm going to. He needs to quit talking like that because I want to politely beat the shit out of him. For those that don't know much about football our Conference is the Big 12 which has screwed itself and pissed a lot of people off this season because the championship isn't played by the number 1 and 2 teams in the conference as it should be. Instead the number 1 team in the south and the number 1 in the north play each other even if 1 and 2 teams are from the north or the south. Which means 2 of the three best teams in our conference - Tech, OU and UT - will be screwed out of playing in the conference game and the team that does play will end up playing a team that while ranked is nothing compared to those 3. It's stupid and it sucks. And here is why all hell will break loose - those 3 teams will be in a tie for first place so how it is decided is unclear. Each would have a very, strong reason for being there. OU - I think OU has the weakest case. While they were ranked #1 for a while they didn't beat a number #1 team to get there - USC screwed themselves by losing to Oregon who is a completely unranked team putting OU in the number #1. OU was then beat by Texas who was a lower ranked team even if we were 5 or 6 at the time. Texas - We beat the #1 ranked OU on a neutral playing field which moved us up to #1. We then went on to play 3 top ranked teams in a row and beat them. While we did lose to Tech it was at Tech which gave them total home field advantage. Tech - Beat Texas in Lubbock and moved to number #1. So it all comes down to the Tech/OU game. And like I said if OU wins the fallout is going to be worse than any fandom wank!
: This simply amused me....
Yahoo.com did an article about TV characters they would ax if they could and Izzie Stevens from GA made the list. This is what it said - Izzie Stevens of "Grey’s Anatomy" has been annoying from the start. A surgeon who's also a gorgeous former underwear model? Please. But what really put Izzie on this list are her years of pining away for her dead patient/fiancé-for-a-second Denny. We're not being cold-hearted. Many of us have been in serious relationships and can only imagine the pain of losing a spouse or significant other. But here's the thing: Denny and Izzie were NEVER IN A SERIOUS RELATIONSHIP. He was a patient she knew for a short time and never saw outside of his hospital room. Who's to say they'd have even gotten along in the real world? OK, OK, so they were technically engaged. But so were a lot of "Bachelors" and look how those blissful relationships turned out. And don't get us started on the fact that Denny is now back on the show this season AS A GHOST who's making Izzie seem even more ridiculous. (Note to "Grey's" producers: There are plenty of shows out there involving ghosts, spirits and the after-life, and this isn't one of them.) And one last thing, Izzie: If you dramatically stop outside the hospital entrance and pretend you just can't bear to walk in (until someone spots you and convinces you that you can) one more time we'll start a letter-writing campaign to get you demoted to morgue worker. Lmao!!! JDM has only been on SPN as a ghost once and we are a show about ghosts, spirits, etc. 19th November 2008

Should be sleeping but can't. Don't know why. I'm tired and whatnot but I just can't sleep. Feel like I am having a panic attack. Didn't do anything tonight that would be stressful. Went and had dinner and drinks with my friend from college and that's it but just can't sleep. Going to suck tomorrow.

: Sophia Bush
While I don't necessary take star's political statements to heart I think Sophia eloquently spoke on the passage of California's Proposition 8: "In a world that is so full of hatred and bigotry and war and famine, we're criticizing two people for loving each other. I think that it's devastating." - Sophia Bush 5th November 2008

*hangs head in shame*
Proposition 8 passed in California making it illegal for homosexual couples to legally marry and/or adopt. Why must we, as a country with an open enough mind to elect an African American President, fail to see that we denying basic human rights to people simply because they don't fall into the old time cookie cutter sterotype of what a family should be. People love who they love and they should be allowed to marry and have a family with that person whether it be a man and woman, woman and woman, man and man. Love is love and that is all that matters. It puts a sour note on an otherwise historical and remarkable night in American history. Of course this could mean that those who challenge whether this is constitutional could take this all the way to the Supreme Court who could possibly decide once and for all. Although this new Court it is rather unknown how they will rule on this. 4th November 20083rd November 2008

To all my American friends:
VOTE We have a right that people across the world are dying to get so get out there and exercise it. This is our time to tell the government what we want. Don't think that one vote doesn't matter - 567 votes determined the election in 2000 so get out there and let your voice be heard. You haven't heard my opinion on this election so my message is simple - GET OUT THERE AND VOTE! We can make a difference. 11th October 2008

"I've talked to friends Talked to myself Talked to God and Prayed like hell But I still miss you I've tried sober I've tried drinking I've been strong and I've been weak But I still miss you I've done everything To move on like I'm supposed to But I still miss you." Rest in Peace Mom. Nothing is the same without you and I miss you still. But as long as I am here a piece of you will live on. |
